Family A-Fair: The Fair Family Journey
My heart of hearts is to live a vulnerable and transparent lifestyle alongside others, growing with them. We strive discover who God is, what our responsibility is to Him and how He interacts with us on a daily basis. We do not use programs or "ministries" as bait or lures as a means to an end. We strive to truly love others for "love's sake" as the Holy Spirit does a mighty work in our lives and those around us.
Our training, experience and piety will never be enough. Only through the understanding and application of Scripture and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives, can transformation truly take place within our lives and others. With that said, here is a brief overview of our experience over the last 13 years.
Born: August 19, 1977 in Neunkirchen, Austria.
I was born a missionary kid in Austria during the cold war. My parents were missionaries and bible smugglers to the Soviet bloc countries of Yugoslavia, Poland and Hungry as well as working across Europe over 16 years.
I joined Youth With A Mission at the age of 21 and have been a full-time missionary since 1998. Amey and I met in our 2 years of missions training. Our entire ministry career has been a clear cut path to ministry in Latin America, more specifically Mexico. On January 1st, 2012 that all changed when Phoebe, who was born in Mexico, was diagnosed with brain cancer. I am currently pioneering a 3rd world agricultural program through YWAM. The vision is to train and equip Christians with the resources and skills to disciple the nations through community development and hunger relief.
Countries Ministered In: 45 US States, Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Sweden, France, Mauritania, Guatemala, and Honduras. As a child, I lived in Austria and the Netherlands with my missionary parents and traveled to Germany, England, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland, Poland, Czechoslovakia, Hungry, Spain, Monaco and Liechtenstein.
Discipleship Training School (DTS): Sept 1998-Feb 1999; Field Internship: Northwesten Africa.
School of Evangelism: March 1999- August 1999; Field Internship: Western United States.
Strategic Frontier Internship: Spring 2006
Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL Certified): 2007; Field Internship: Tyler, Texas.
Kings Way Missionary Institue (Spanish Language School): August 2007-May 2008
World Hunger Relief: Third World Agricultural Development Internship. December 2010-December 2011
Over the past 13 years I have traveled and ministered in many different ways including: youth ministry, street evangelism, sports ministry, children ministry, teaching English, prison ministry, drama and dance, sports ministry, homebuilding, community development, church development and speaking.
Endangered Freedom Productions (EFP): I spent almost two and a half years on a traveling multi-media presentation team named EFP that was geared toward youth ministry. We ministered in Churches, high schools, colleges, coffee shops, and on the street to whomever would listen.
Summer Missions Program: I spend 10 year facilitating the SST Program. My duties included promotions of the SST program, administration, public relations, operations, location scouting for outreaches, outreach coordination and general expansion of the program. We also lived in Reynosa, Mexico during the summers coordinating the SST outreach of over two-hundred students.
Living In Mexico: In a nutshell, we help Christians put hands and feet to the Gospel which in turn allows our ministry to reach the lost with a greater efficiency. I did this as the short-term missions program director. I coordinated our homes for the poor ministry as well as leading teams in evangelism, prison ministry, orphan ministry, sports evangelism, teaching English and church planting. Here is a list of a few of the ministries we were a part of:
Short-Term Teams Program Director.
Serving and supporting local indigenous churches.
Director of Communications: Web, graphic design and video.
Teaching history in school for missionary children.
Teaching English with TESOL certificate in a local prison.
As a family we work with a local orphanage for street children.
